

Dorothy M. Flowers, 96, of Springfield, Ohio, formerly of Circleville, Ohio, passed away Monday, June 9, 2014 at Eaglewood Care Center in Springfield with her granddaughters by her side. She was born November 29, 1917 in Fairfield County, Ohio, the daughter of Lafayette "Lafe" and Florence (Markel) Chenoweth. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Howard Conley; her second husband, Rev. Eugene Flowers; daughter, Sally and her husband, Robert Davis; son, Jack David Conley; grandson, Mark Davis; sisters, Mary Blain and Sylvia North; and nephew, John Blain. In Circleville, Dorothy had been a Sunday school teacher and participated in many church activities at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church and the Circleville First Church of Christ in Christian Union. She began attending Northpointe Church of God when she moved to Springfield nearly 15 years ago. Dorothy is survived by her loving family: granddaughters, Terri (James) Katawick and Karen "Susie" (Rocky) Scheerschmidt of Springfield; great-grandchildren, Heather, Aaron, Josh, Sara and Katie; great-great-grandchildren, Tyler, Drew, Trent, Nathan, Brennen, Zig, Monty, Madison and Lynnara; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, June 16, 2014 at the Circleville First Church of Christ in Christian Union, 436 E. Ohio St., Circleville, Ohio with Pastor Mike Holbrook officiating. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery, Circleville. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the church on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice, 8069 Washington Village Dr., Dayton, OH 45458. The family would like to thank the staff of Eaglewood Care Center and Crossroads Hospice for the wonderful care Dorothy received. Arrangements were made with Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home, Circleville.
