Dorothy L. (McKee) Hurd

Dorothy L. (McKee) Hurd was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a lifelong caregiver not only to her family and friends, but also to the great many she encountered through her life's work as a Registered Nurse. She was a vessel that God used to pour out his love and compassion onto others, as she cared for a great many who could no longer care for themselves. She could be fiercely protective of those in her charge and was a proud "Mama Bear." Her love for those around her was always unconditional and overflowing. Now she waits for us in heaven and will continue to bless the lives of all who knew her. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Roger Hurd, her 4 children, Melissa (Wayne) Berner, Michael (Beth) Hurd, Christy (John) McGeorge, Stephanie (Ron) Diersing, 7 grandchildren Matthew, Evan, Corey, Jason, Maddy, Mia, and Rosemary, her mother Louise McKee, and her 5 brothers and sister, Ed (Cheryl) McKee, Carl (Cindy) McKee, Jr., Pat (Bryce) Anderson, Ken McKee, and Larry (Janet) McKee. She was preceded in death by her father, Carl McKee, and granddaughter Laura Berner. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to Mount Carmel St. Ann's Hospice.
