

She was born December 6, 1924 in Pickaway County, the daughter of the late Daniel and Edna (Valentine) Hinton. Dorothy was a member of Community United Methodist Church and had volunteered for the American Cancer Society.
Dorothy and her husband Delbert were known far and wide for the great burgers, shakes and fries they served and the many memories that were made at their restaurant, The Hamburger Inn, in Circleville. The couple loved to travel throughout the United States, Mexico and Canada and did so until Delbert’s death in 1992. Dorothy was also preceded in death by her brother Herschel Hinton; sisters Kathleen Davenport and Bernadine Grego; and brother-in-law Hubert Puckett. She is survived by niece and guardian Joan (Joe) Kennedy of Ashville; niece Sue Ann (Ed) Herendeen of Shepherdstown, WV; and nephews Steven (Cindy) Puckett of Columbus, Carey Grego of Martins Ferry, OH and Steven Grego of Phoenix, AZ.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger in Circleville with Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00-7:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Berger Hospice, 1170 N. Court St., Circleville, OH 43113. The family thanks the staff of The Caring Touch and Berger Hospice for their loving care of Dorothy during her illness
