

Dorothy "Dottie" Taylor, age 96, resident of Gahanna, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 29, 2021. Dorothy was born on January 16, 1925, in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late Clarence and Georgia Mercer. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Taylor, her sister, MaryAnn Clifford and her brother, Richard Mercer. Dorothy is survived by her four daughters, who made up the entirety of her world, Denise Kroninger, Becky (Tom) Kneeland, Jill Bruck and Joellen Brown. Besides her daughters, she is survived by her beloved grandchildren, Jason Kroninger (Melissa Mees), Wes (Missy) Kroninger, Matt (Deanna) Kneeland, Aaron (Meghan) Kneeland, Greg (Lindsay) Kneeland, Sarah Capretta (Joe Payne), Jeff Kneeland (Tori Neuberger), Amanda (Chris) Prior, Carrie (Garret) Andrews, Kenzie Bruck (fiancée Nick Holderbaum), Heather Brown, Tammie (Casey) Johnson and Emily Brown. She is also survived and will be sadly missed by her great-grandchildren, Atticus, Bryce, Kevin, Cassie, Bria, Brecken, Cameron, Graham, Ellie, Kaya, Jillian, Dominic, Emersyn, Zac, Liam, Mason, Logan, and Casey, Jr., as well as many special friends made along her journey in life. She loved watching Ohio State basketball games, sewing, reading and baking Christmas cookies to give to friends and neighbors. Dorothy had a very strong faith and was a 50+ year member of Mifflin Presbyterian Church, Gahanna. She was cherished by all those who knew her and will be remembered for her deep love of family, passion for a Buckeye win, and her always positive attitude and impish, contagious smile. The family would like to thank Otterbein-Gahanna and Mount Carmel Hospice for taking care of her during the pandemic when we couldn't. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to your favorite charity in Dorothy's name to spread the love of heaven's newest angel. Public visitation from 5-7 pm Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST in Gahanna; Graveside service 11 am on Thursday, February 4th at Mifflin Cemetery, Gahanna, OH. Guests are required to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.
