Douglas Atwood Jones

Douglas Atwood Jones, 41, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, February 5, 2013. He was born June 19, 1971 in Chillicothe, Ohio, the son of Atwood “Woody” and Diana (Pollock) Jones. He was a graduate of Circleville High School, Class of 1989, and attended Rio Grande College, Columbus State University and Kapplan College. He was a member of the Circleville Presbyterian Church. Doug studied culinary arts in college and enjoyed cooking, flower and vegetable gardening, reading and old movies. The Chesapeake Bay Area and Fredericksburg, Virginia were among his list of favorite places to go. Doug had a good sense of humor and liked shopping at thrift stores. He loved his family and especially loved being an uncle. Doug is survived by his parents; his brother, Andrew (Julie) Jones of Millersburg; triplets, nephew, A.J. and nieces, Lauren and Megan Jones; aunt, Susan (Gary) Jones; uncle, David (Margie) Pollock; cousins, Chris, Michele and Jordan Jones; Eric, Stacey, Janson, Karsen and Kaden Jones; Brian Pollock, Jennifer Pollock; Sean, Leanna, Payton and Carter Pollock; and special friends, Troy Hart and Jennifer Nutter.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 4-7 P.M. Friday, February 8, 2013 with Words of Remembrance at 6:00 P.M. in Campbell Hall at the Presbyterian Church., Pastor Troy Braswell officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Presbyterian Church, 134 E. Mound St., Circleville, OH 43113. Arrangements were made with Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home.
