

Earl Howard Hosler, age 77 of Upper Arlington, passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at Kobacker House after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Earl was a graduate of Grandview High School and was a Lieutenant in the United States Army. Earl retired from Bell Laboratories/ Lucent Technology after thirty five years of service where he spent many years playing on his company’s golf, bowling, and softball leagues He was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church and served on the Deacon Board Earl’s favorite activities included coaching his children’s softball and soccer teams as well as serving as Scout Master for Troop 555. Earl was preceded in death by his father James Hosler of Columbus, his mother Mabel Shop Shaw of Arkansas and grandson Brandan Ray Hosler. Earl is survived by Barbara his loving wife of fifty two years, his children Kathy (David) Daughters, Kristy (Bob) Wombold, Brad (Stacy) Hosler and Kim (Pete) Job; fourteen grandchildren, sister Nancy Houdesheldt, brother and sister-in-law Butch and Jean Hosler and Glen and Charlotte Shaw. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd. where a funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 AM.
