

Earl Lee Sullivan, Sr., passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. He was born in Leon, West Virginia on April 13, 1930 to the late David and Pearl “Kessel” Sullivan. Earl proudly served his country in the U.S Army from 1950 to 1954. He retired from the family business, Commercial Office Specialists, Inc., where he worked for 30 years. Earl was a 49 year member of the F.&A.M., South Gate Potter Lodge #782. He also was a member of the First Baptist Church of New Albany. Earl had many interests in life, including golfing and exercising, but he loved to watch and support his grandchildren in their activities. He will be remembered for the dedicated and loving husband he was to Betty, for his wonderful Thanksgiving dinners and for his great storytelling ability. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by 12 brothers; 3 sisters, and son-in-law, Steve Miller. Earl is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Betty Sullivan (Buck); children, Pamela Miller, Earl (Sue) Sullivan, Jr., James (Becky) Sullivan, Vickey (Matt) Shull; 9 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brother, Everette (Clara) Sullivan; sisters, Roma Stump, and Eleanor King. The family will receive friends from 5-8pm, Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at the Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. (at Beecher Rd) Gahanna, where the Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm, Wednesday, July 11, 2012. Pastor George Peace officiating.
