

Edgar Blankenship, 94, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2014 at the Kobacker House. He was born August 15, 1920 in Thomas, Kentucky to the late Dallas and Mollie Blankenship. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran who served during WWII. Ed retired from General Motors after 37 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and most of all, learning. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Arthur Blankenship, Frank Blankenship, and Nina Johnson. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Bonnie Blankenship; sister, Gertrude Elswick; and many other relatives and dear friends. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL 5554 Karl Rd. where funeral service will be held 10 AM Thursday with Pastor Keith Daniels officiating.
