

Edward John Dunn, Jr., age 83, from Dublin, Ohio passed away with family at his side on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. After having a stroke in 2007, Ed was battling bladder cancer this past year. He was born on October 2, 1932 in Monaca, Pennsylvania to the late Edward John and Valla Morgan Kammer Dunn,Sr. Ed was a talented, creative, supportive, loving husband, father, grandfather and son.
Ed graduated from North High School and married his high school sweetheart, Katherine "Kate" Ann Smith in 1953. In 1957, Ed graduated from the School of Architecture at The Ohio State University. He was awarded Best Distinguished Design in his class. Ohio Bell (now AT&T) was Ed's lifelong employer.
While in the engineering department, Ed designed several buildings for them and on his own, built several apartment buildings and his family home. He was an O.S.U Buckeye fan and was in the Air R.O.T.C. Several of his hobbies included: sailing, fishing, snow skiing, photography and family vacations. Kate and Ed's favorite vacation place was Sanibel Island, Florida. He created sand castings, watercolors, a garden of daylilies in which he propagated different varieties and performed magic trick shows.
Survived by his daughter, Jennifer Ann Dunn (Richard) Miller and son, Eric Kammer (Kathleen) Dunn. Grandchildren: Katherine Miller, Jon Miller, Anne Miller, Ethan Dunn, Eileen Dunn, and Patrick Dunn. Preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Katherine "Kate" Ann Smith Dunn and daughter, Sarah Jane Dunn.
A Memorial Service will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, February 20th at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 High St. Worthington, Ohio 43085 where calling hours will be held from 3:00-4:00 p.m. Saturday. A private graveside service will be held Monday at Union Cemetery.
