

Edward Gay Hazlett, III, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014 surrounded by the people he loved the most. He was born August 4, 1946 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Edward and Sarah Hazlett, II. He was a graduate of North H.S. and a proud U.S. Army veteran. Ed retired from G.E. Superabrasives with 25 years of service. He enjoyed collecting die cast cars, drawing and was the master of the New York Times crossword puzzle. Ed also enjoyed watching NASCAR and cheering on the Cincinnati Reds. Ed is survived by his loving wife, of 39 years, Roberta Hazlett; sons, Robert (Kris) Dixon and Christopher (Julie) West; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Carla (Ted) Thomas and Taryn Higham; and many other relatives and dear friends. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Thursday, May 1, 2014 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd, Columbus where the funeral service will be held 10 am Friday with Pastor John Pfeifer officiating.
