Edward Wardlow Miller

Edward "Mike" Miller passed away on Nov 9, 2021, the day after his 86th birthday. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on Nov 8, 1935 to the late Edward and Kathleen Connor Miller. Mike graduated from St. Charles Preparatory in 1954 and from Purdue University in 1959, where he was a member of the Theta Chi fraternity. Mike retired as Vice-President of BancOhio Corporation and as President of BankOhio Leasing Corporation. Mike was a charter member of St. Peters Catholic Church, and a long-time member of Worthington Hills Country Club. He also was a life member of the Purdue Alumni Assoc, an active member of the John Purdue Club, and a Veteran Life member of the Charity Newsies. Mike enjoyed playing golf, sports and any activities that his grandchildren were involved doing. He was a diehard Purdue fan of any sport they played. He had monthly lunches with his St. Charles friends and with his Worthington Hills group called the Senior Seven. Lifelong friendships were very important to him. He always enjoyed his weekly days of playing gin and having lunch at WHCC with all his friends. He also would never miss his annual trip to Purdue with his fraternity brothers for the last 50 years. He loved to travel when his wife Donna was alive and went many wonderful places. His favorite thing to do was spend time with all 9 of his grandchildren, who all called him "Poppy." The most recent one that would light up his eyes was his great grandchild, Sawyer. Mike was preceded in death by his wife, Donna, and his sister Molly Brownlee. He is survived by his brother Dennis, his 3 children, Mike (Claudia), Tim (Jan) and Cindy (Dan) Eddingfield. He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren - Lauren Eddingfield, Lindsay (Eric) Davis, Brian Miller, Cailey (Dominic) Smith, Connor Miller, Jayce Miller, Ryan (Maddy) Miller, Abby Miller and Jack Eddingfield, and by his great grandson, Sawyer Smith.

Visitation is Thursday, Nov 18, at Schoedinger Funeral Home, 6699 North High St., Worthington, Ohio from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Mass will be on Friday, Nov 19, at St. Peters Catholic Church, 6899 Smoky Row Rd., Columbus, Ohio at 11:00 am.
