

He retired from the Air Force Reserves, and was a veteran of Operation Desert Storm. A Lieutenant with the Columbus Fire Department for 33 years (1980 - 2013). He was a Lieutenant with the Orange Township Fire Department for 15 years. A devoted husband, dad, grandpa, brother and uncle, he will missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife Susan; daughter Erin (Joe) Hatfield; grandsons Zac and Tyler Hatfield; with grandson on the way, Jacob Hatfield; brother Ralph (Mary) Reid; sister Mary (Al) Vogt; nieces and nephews, Emily (Wayne) Gross, Robert Reid, Amanda and George Vogt.
Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High Street in Worthington, where his Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 23, 2014. Chaplain Larry B. Baker, officiating. Interment Kingwood Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio Health Hospice, 1180 E. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215 in his memory. .
