

Edward Kerth Stocker, Jr., 93, of Columbus, died Saturday, June 2, 2018 at home. He was born February 15, 1925 in Evansville, Indiana to the late Edward Kerth and Irene May (Smith) Stocker. He was a graduate of Purdue University where he was a member of Delta Upsilon Fraternity. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps serving in WWII as a B29 Navigator and flew 25 missions over the Empire of Japan, he later served in the Air Force Reserves until 1969. He was an engineer for North American Rockwell Aviation and McDonnell Douglas. He was a charter member of the Church of the Redeemer United Methodist where he sang in the choir and did whatever needed done. He was a former Boy Scout Leader and a member of the Order of the Arrow and enjoyed caring for his yard, playing cards with friends, and eating cookies. Ed was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ann Harner, they were married 62 years; sisters, Margaret Mary (Ward) Stallings, and Barbara Ann (Richard) Scale; son in-law, Jim Miller; niece, Susan Seale Schmidt. He is survived by children, Beth (Duncan) Oliver, Irene Miller, E. Kerth Stocker III, and W. Eric (Monica) Stocker; grandchildren, Emily (Nathanael) Fisher, Jessica (Jason) Mitchell, James "Jake" W. Miller III, Allen E.K. (Kim) Stocker, Jodi Stocker, and Erica Rivera; great grandchildren, Peyton, Abel, Malachi, and Margaret Stocker, Adriana, Liam, and Lucas Rivera, and soon to be Ezra Ramirez. Family will receive friends on Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 5:00PM-8:00PM at the SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave, Columbus, Ohio 43232. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday June 8, 2018 at 10:00AM at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5600 E. Broad St., Columbus, Ohio followed by a Memorial Service at 11:30AM at the Church of the Redeemer United Methodist, 235 McNaughton Road, Columbus, Ohio. Pastor Richard Birk officiating. Donations in Ed's memory may be made to Mt. Carmel Hospice.
