Elizabeth Evelyn McKeeman

Elizabeth Evelyn Cruse McKeeman, known by most as "Betty", born November 22, 1922, went home to be with the Lord at age 94 on Sunday, December 4, 2016. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Robert John McKeeman; sons, Lynn McKeeman and Bobby (Joyce) Green; parents, William and Lulu Cruse; brothers, Bill and Sam Cruse; and sister, Ruth Campbell. She is survived by her sons, Sam (Gloria) Britain, Bill (Nancy) Cruse, and Joe (Jane) McKeeman; daughter, Trinh (Tommy) Tran; daughter in-law Mary McKeeman; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Betty had a full life raising her children and working two jobs to support her family. After retirement from the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services she enjoyed church at Hilltop Lutheran. She was an avid artist and poet and had many of her poems published in the church bulletin and the Westgate Messenger. She loved music and could play the organ by ear. Betty was also an animal lover. She will be sadly missed by all who were blessed to know her. Family will receive friends on Monday, December 12, 2016 from 4:00PM-7:00PM at the HOPE and HEART FUNERAL HOME BY SCHOEDINGER, 3030 West Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio where funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 10:00AM. Celebrant Andrew Hoover officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, Ohio. Donations in Betty's memory may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society.
