Elizabeth “Betty” Louise Seidensticker Mould passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 17 2024. “Mom-Mom”, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, spent her last moments surrounded by her children, listening to the songs of her son Michael. She lived her life with love, grace, and compassion.
Betty was born on August 30,1934. She met the love of her life, Herb, at The Catholic University of America in 1954, where she earned a degree in Physics and Mathematics. He wooed her with charm and brawn; she won him with brilliance and beauty. They married in 1956 and began their family of six children in 1957. Nineteen grandchildren followed, and 17 great-grandchildren spread her love forward.
Three generations were blessed with her tender and dedicated care. As “Mom” to her children and their spouses, whom she embraced into her family, and “Mom-Mom” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she opened her home for countless family get-togethers and sleepovers. The homemade feasts she seemingly effortlessly provided, which always included signature desserts and candies, nourished all and demonstrated that generosity is inherent to love.
Betty was a long-time member of St. Anthony and St. Matthias parishes, and an endless volunteer and benefactor for all those she could help.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Herbert Mould; her son, Michael Mould; her parents, Norbert Albert Seidensticker and Virginia Franklin Seidensticker; and her grandchildren, Rebecca and Joseph Colwell. She is survived by sons, Steve (Paula) Mould, Doug (Susan) Mould, Lewis (Jackie) Mould; daughters, Marcie (Chuck) Colwell, and Tricia Kessler; and a multitude of grand and great grandchildren.
