Elizabeth Jane Wilkinson

Elizabeth Jane Wilkinson, age 85, of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully on July 19, 2012 at Whetstone Gardens. She was born August 4, 1926 to the late Carl and Mattie (Painter) Grimm; also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur C. Wilkinson. Elizabeth, also known as Tootie or Granny, loved music. She seemed to know the words to all of the old songs. She enjoyed the outdoors, the OSU Buckeyes and was a wonderful homemaker. Elizabeth is survived by her daughters, Jane (Howard) White, Jean Schlaechter and Jill Schofield; grandchildren, Brian Schlaechter, Amy (Scott) Dougherty, Christina and Nicole Schofield; great-grandchildren, Kyle and Brandon Dunlap, D.J. Schlaechter, Savannah and Audrianna Schofield; sister, Virginia Bixler. Funeral Services will be held at 12noon Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Rd., Columbus, OH 43229 where family will receive friends from 11am-12pm.; Andrew Hoover, Celebrant; interment Kingwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Whetstone Gardens (Activities Program), 3710 Olentangy River Rd., Columbus, OH 43224 in memory of Elizabeth Wilkinson.
