

Elsie Mae Stapleton, age 81, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2014 surrounded by the ones she loved most. She was born November 6, 1932 in Galveston, Kentucky to the late Johnny and Annie Adams. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Elsie was retired from Western Electric/ATandT/Lucent Technologies where she worked for 40 years. She was a faithful member of Canaan Land FWB Church. Elsie loved to spend time gardening and being with family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Jackie Adams, Junior Adams, Dora Moore, Verdi Adkins-Hall, Melvin Hall, and Walker Hall. Elsie is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Lloyd Stapleton; daughters, Teresa Hedge and Leisa (Lyle) Stapleton-Kincaid; grandchildren, Matthew Grant Kincaid, Riley (Greg Conley) Hedge, and Travis Hedge; great-grandson, Isaac Conley; siblings, James Adams, Carl Adams, Claude (Noreen) Adams, and Nora Jean Jackson; sisters-in-law, Eula Adams, Sue Adams, and Lexie Hall; Niece, Rhonda Adams-Boggs; special friends, Melda Morgan and Beulah "Boots" Aurentz; and many other relatives and dear friends. The family will welcome friends to visit 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City where the funeral service will be held 10 AM Thursday with Pastor Shawn Beauchamp officiating.
