Elwood "Bill" Bibby

Elwood "Bill" Bibby, 81, of Pickerington, Ohio passed away peacefully on November 16, 2015. Bill was born December 26, 1933 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late William J. and Catherine (Landenberger) Bibby and graduated from Northeast Catholic High School in Philadelphia. He was a Korean War United States Air Force veteran. Bill met Marilyn L. Rogers at Lockbourne Air Force Base, and they danced their way into each other's hearts! On June 2, 1956, Marilyn accepted Bill's hand in marriage. They raised their children in Columbus, Ohio and were charter members of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church. Later in life, while residing in Naples, Florida, he worked as the body shop manager at DeVoe Cadillac. Bill was an avid golfer, enjoyed cheering on the Buckeyes and loved to sing. Above all, he loved his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Marilyn; children, Michael (Shari) Bibby, William J. Bibby, Kathleen (George) Sedlmayr, Sharon (Ron) Benson, and Susan (Joe) Oberst; grandchildren, Nicholas and Jonathan Bibby; Michael and John Sedlmayr; Lauren (Kevin) Caldwell Krinsky and Carleigh Benson, Caitlin and Justin Oberst; sister-in-law Jeanne Federer; brother-in-law John Rogers; many nieces and nephews. Family will welcome friends 6-8pm Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH 43232. Funeral Service with military honors, 11am Friday at Holy Cross Cemetery, 11539 National Rd. SW, Pataskala, OH 43062; Rev. Mr. Steve Venturini, officiating.
