

Emily Ann Stopa, age 28, died on October 2, 2016 after suffering a stroke caused by a cranial blood clot. She is survived by her parents, John and Carol Stopa of Columbus; brother, Dr. Jack Stopa of Cambridge, Massachusetts; sister, Katherine (David) Tull of Columbus; nephew, Thomas Tull of Columbus; aunt, Pamela (Robert) Heilman of Buffalo, New York; and uncle, James Stopa of Somers, Connecticut. Emily grew up in Worthington, Ohio, and graduated from Thomas Worthington High School and The Ohio State University (B.A., Music). Emily's loves included family, friends, her boyfriend Jerry, music, cats, video and role-playing games, social justice, and Hillary Clinton for President. Emily's extraordinary intelligence, passion and wit made her a joy to be with, and brightened the lives of all who knew her. Emily elected to be an organ donor and so is continuing to help others. A memorial service will be held at Schoedinger Funeral Home, 6699 North High Street, Worthington, Ohio Wednesday October 5, 2016 at 4 pm.
