Eric M. Hoffrichter

Dr. Hoffrichter was the son of the late Dr. Joseph and Lea Gail Hoffrichter and was born and raised in East Liverpool, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years Beverly Marie Bond Hoffrichter on February 23, 2006. Survivors include his two daughters Erica (Steven) Butcher and Rachel Hoffrichter as well as his beloved granddaughter Riley Butcher, all of Columbus, Ohio. His brother Dr. Marc (Cindy) Hoffrichter of East Liverpool, Ohio and sister Ronna Berland of Los Angeles, California as well as his sister-in-law Barbara Liming of Columbus, Ohio also survive his death.

Dr. Hoffrichter was graduated from Culver (IN) Military Academy in 1965, Bethany College in 1969 and the Ohio College of Podiatry in 1973. Dr. Hoffrichter practiced podiatry from 1973 to 1982. He invented and patented a novel arch support for steel tipped work shoes and began a second career. He began visiting regional prisons in a uniquely designed “shoe mobile” that was a converted school bus. He continued in sales and procurement for 41 years and was a pioneer in retailing on the internet as well as internationally sourced products. As the company’s product line grew, a new company Fine Line Productions LLC was formed along with daughter Erica Butcher.

For fun Eric enjoyed spending time with his family, swimming, playing golf, and traveling.

Family will receive friends and family from 12:00-2:00 on Saturday, March 18th, 2023 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation of Ohio, Inc.
