

Eric P. Romweber, age 55, of Reynoldsburg, died unexpectedly Saturday, April 8, 2023 at his home. He was born June 3, 1967 in Rocky River, Cleveland, Ohio, son of the late James Romweber and Harleen (Steiner) Romweber who survives him. Eric was a social worker with Franklin County Family Services for many years, and then before retiring he was a purchasing manager for US Tank Alliance. He was also an accomplished musician and professional drummer in the bands “Night Life” (20 years) and most recently The Shaun Booker Dammit blues band. Eric is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sharon Romweber; son, Christopher Lockhart; grandson, Gavin Lockhart; mother, Harleen Romweber; brother, David Romweber; sisters, Kris (Kurt) Antkiewicz and Jamie (Pat) Kearney. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He was a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences and minor in History. He was also a student at MI College of Contemporary Music (drums) and held a certificate in musical performance. Eric was fun, intelligent and compassionate. He loved spending time with his family, watching OSU football, pro football, pro hockey, and listening to music, especially 70’s classic rock and jazz. Among his many favorite artists were The Beatles, Grateful Dead, The Who, Led Zeppelin, and Jimi Hendrix. His greatest passions were composing and playing his drums. He loved being outside on warm, sunny days, and loved swimming and being on the beach. He was also an avid reader of history, music biographies, philosophy, and science.
Funeral Service will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at SCHOEDINGER EAST, 5360 E. Livingston Avenue, Columbus, OH 43232, where family and friends may call from 12:00 noon-1:00 pm Tuesday. Interment to follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estates.
