

Erik Carman Eriksen, age 44, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 24, 2011. Erik was born on May 24, 1966 in Columbus; he was the son of Stanley and Carma Eriksen, who survive. Erik was also survived by his son, Jacob Eriksen of Dublin; sister, Laura (William) Barnett of Warren, OH; Uncle Bill and Aunt Connie Acklin of Granville, OH, Uncle Jeff Eriksen of Upper Arlington; nieces and nephews, Todd Barnett, Tara (Barnett) Pitstick, and Tess Barnett. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Arloween and Carman Acklin and Marquerite and Arthur Eriksen. Erik attended Columbus Academy and was a graduate of Centennial High School, where he was a member of the cross country team and National Honor Society. Erik went on to receive his bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University. He participated in three Wendy’s Triathlons and was a manager of the Cooker Softball Team. Erik had a passion for fishing, OSU Buckeyes, landscaping, aviation and cooking. He was a former Real Estate Broker and a member of Vineyard Church, where he volunteered at the food pantry. Erik will be missed by his loving family. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 28, 2011 from 4-7pm at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel; where funeral services will be on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at 11 am; Katherine Kinnison officiating.
