At the age of 4, Erin was a musical prodigy, playing her favorite nursery songs on the piano. By age 6, she was writing her own songs. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, and has sang in the choir, and on occasion loved singing with bands and at venues.
Erin majored in Biology: Pre-Veterinary Medicine, and minored in Music at the Ohio State University. She worked at the Westerville Veterinary Clinic doing what she loved most, helping animals stay healthy, assisting in surgeries saving their lives, and finding them happy homes. She showed the same compassion to her family and friends around her, and would give what she had to those less fortunate than her. In her spare time, she looked forward to working out at the gym. She recently learned to ride a motorcycle and was passionate about it, and was a member of Columbus Riders.
She also worked with/for her mother doing makeup and hair styling for television and film, including celebrities Martin Short, John Glenn, Dr. Phil and many others. Her talents were many......
Erin’s fun, generous spirit will be greatly missed by her parents, James Haninger and Rose (Lucas) Haninger; sister Laurie Haninger; uncles Thomas and Robert Lucas, Steven (Sue) Haninger, Michael (Nancy) Haninger, Paul (Emily) Haninger, Sally (Jim) Lukens and Kellie (John) Erwin; and many cousins.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 22, 2019 from 12-3 and 6-8pm at the Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 North High Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 23, 2019 at 10:30am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 10700 Liberty Road, with Father Stephen Smith officiating. Following Mass, Erin’s beloved friends from the Columbus Riders will escort her from the church to Resurrection Cemetery.
