Esther Anderson Collins

Esther Anderson Collins, age 88, formerly of Chardon and Willoughby, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at Sunrise Assisted Living in Gahanna, Ohio. She was born in Canton, Massachusetts on November 25, 1925 to the late Carl Anderson and Lillian Holtman Anderson. Preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Arthur S. Collins.

Esther is survived by her children Robin VanLear (Jesse Rhinehart), Tina Dale (Roy), and Neil Collins (Mary); grandchildren Story Cadiz (Kelvin), Amy Dale, Victoria Nogay (Stas), Gregory Collins, and Douglas Collins; great-grandchildren Sienna Cadiz and Lorelei Cadiz.

Known for welcoming personality and quick wit, Esther loved her life, filled with family, friends, tennis, gardening, and art. One of her great joys was a lifelong appreciation of nature. For over 20 years, she enthusiastically shared this love with others as a Holden Arboretum volunteer.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, July 31 from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E.
