Evelyn C. Banks, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2011. She was born on September 8, 1930. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Violet Smith; son, Dormal Smith; sisters, Beaulah and Dorthy Smith; and brothers, Eugene and James Smith. She is survived by children, Kathryn (Raymond) Anderson, Vicky (Samuel) Williams, Beverly Banks, Andra (Patricia) Banks, Chino Banks, and Forest (Patricia) Banks Jr.; their father, Forest Banks, Sr.; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2011, at Refuge Missionary Baptist Church, 400 N. 20th St., where family will receive friends for one hour prior to service. Rev.
