Fay graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1940. Early in life she worked at a corner grocery store in Breckenridge where she met her husband Ted, who she married in 1950. They moved to Snyder and Fay was a member of the Home Demonstration Club. They eventually left Texas when Ted was offered a job in Palm Springs, California. Fay fell in love with Palm Springs. They had many friends there who they would go on adventures and fly as a group in their private planes to various places including Alaska. Upon retiring, Fay and Ted went back to Breckenridge where they got in the Cattle Business. Fay was a good cook, loved flower gardening, and always had a beautiful yard. She also enjoyed entertaining family and friends at her home. Fay was raised Baptist and her faith was very important to her.
In addition to her parents, Fay is preceded in death by her husband Ted; grandson, Corey Moore; older sisters, Elsie McMurray and Kathleen Fambrough; triplet brother, Ray Hope; and triplet sister, May Ball.
She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Vicki (Rick) McClelland and Janie (Bob) Foulk; grandchildren, Wyatt (Angela) Chadwick, Brett Chadwick, Cheri (Rob) Finley, and Clayton (Tara) Moore; great grandchildren, Craig, Hannah, Kayla and Tyler Finley, James and Luke Moore.
Family will receive friends 4-6 PM on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221. Guests are respectfully asked to wear masks and attendance will be monitored to ensure safety for everyone attending.
Funeral Service will be held at Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home, Breckenridge, Texas. Interment at Necessity Cemetery, Texas.
