

Forrest Robert “Murph” Murphy, age 81, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 4, 2011. He was born in Columbus on February 19, 1930 to the late Charles and Dorothy Murphy. He was a 1948 graduate of Linden McKinley High School where he excelled in sports. He was a member of Karl Road Baptist Church for over 50 years, serving as a Deacon, Trustee, Usher and Sunday school teacher. Forrest had a long and distinguished career with Jeffrey Manufacturing Company retiring in 1995. He was an accomplished artist. He loved to fish. He was a Godly example for his family, teaching them to be loving, kind and selfless. He is survived by loving wife of 62 years, Juanita; children, Chuck (Emily) Murphy, Diana (Scott) Aleshire; grandchildren, Jennelle (Gary) Baker, Nathan Perkins, Jeff (Megan) Murphy, John (Annie) Murphy, Sarah Aleshire; great grandchildren, Kelsey and Tyson; sister, Ruth Cropper; brother-in-law, Charles (Bev) Brockman; sisters-in-law, Barb and Pat Brockman, and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 3-6 pm, Sunday, August 7, 2011 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL 5554 Karl RD. where the funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, August 8, 2011.
