Frances "Fran" Lee Croker

July 31, 1938 – July 26, 2025

Born in Huntington, West Virginia, she lived a life rooted in family, community, and service. She was preceded in death by her parents: Frances Lee Oberschlake (birth mother) and Hermus and Helen Oberschlake; her first husband, Jack Hickman, who passed away at an early age; her second husband, James Croker; and her grandson, Bobby Hickman.

She is survived by her four sons: Kevin (Kim) Hickman, children Jesse (Zoe) Hickman and Olivia (Garrett) Griffin; Kirk Hickman, children Kristina Hickman and Kaylee Hickman; Kent C. (Heidi) Hickman, children Ryan (Amanda) Hickman, Ashton (Matt) Foster, Drew Orton, Zachary Hickman, and Dakota Hickman; and Kyle (Colleen) Hickman, child Mason Hickman. She is also survived by many great grandchildren; her brother, Larry Oberschlake; and nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Fran was an active member of the Red Hat Society. She dedicated time to volunteer work, particularly supporting the elderly in her community.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 4, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Schoedinger Northwest, 1740 Zollinger Rd., Columbus, OH 43221. Burial will be held at Union Cemetery on August 5 at 10:00 a.m.
