Francis C. "Sonny" McKnight

Francis C. “Sonny” McKnight, age 77, went Home to his Lord and Savior, Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Mt Carmel East Hospital surrounded by his family. Sonny retired in 1991as a Letter Carrier for the Gahanna Branch of the US Postal Service. He was a member of the Stygler Road CCCU. Preceded in death by parents John and Eileen (Watson) McKnight Sr, brother John McKnight Jr. daughter Bridgette Conrad and great-grandson Caleb McKnight. Sonny is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, 11 months, Carlena F. McKnight; their sons: Calvin (Sandy) McKnight, Larry Lee McKnight and John Robert “Bob” (Sheila) McKnight, 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and a brother Gerald (Bonnie) McKnight, father-in-law Ward R. Young, sisters-in-law Connie (Byron) Thomas, Linda (David) Nelson and Anna McKnight, nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1pm Saturday August 18, 2012 at the Stygler Road Church of Christ in Christian Union, 4001 North Stygler Road Gahanna, with Rev. Wayne Reynolds, Dr. Robert Sayre and Pastor Tony Robbins officiating. A Reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall of the Church. Private family interment.
