

Frank DiPlacido, age 80, passed away, Saturday, April 4, 2015 at his home in Westerville, Ohio. He was born August 6, 1934 to the late Matale Francesco and Rosalina (Delmonico) DiPlacido in Columbus, Ohio. Frank was a devote member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church where he attended mass every day. He was a strong and faithful servant to God and the Catholic religion. Frank was a talented musician, teaching himself to play the guitar, drums, xylophone and the piano. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Wanda (Crown) DiPlacido; sisters, Clara Serafini, Ida Cacchione, Virginia Charnier, Yola Smith and nephew, Bob Charnier. Frank is survived by nieces and nephews, Mike and Angie Charnier, Marsha (Cacchione) and Dr. Phil Stern, Fred and Cinda Cacchione and Lisa (Smith) and Gary Hollaway; cousins, Elmo and Betty Serafini and Dan Serafini; niece-in-law, Debbie Charnier; along with extended family and friends. Family will receive friends Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 4-7 PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM, Friday, April 10, 2015 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 313 N. State Street, Westerville, Ohio. Fr. David Gwinner, Celebrant. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
