

Gale E. Zeno was born March 16, 1948 in Akron, Ohio to the late Hazel and John Gillespie, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015. She graduated from Revere High School in Bath, Ohio and The University of Akron where she was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. As an adult, Gale lived in the city of Green, Ohio until 1999 and while there she worked as a middle school teacher for 27 years in Massillon, Ohio. She continued her teaching and coaching career for 8 more years until 2009 in Brentwood, Tennessee and resided in Franklin, Tennessee until 2013 before moving to Dublin, Ohio to be closer to her family. Gale had a passion for coaching and prided herself in helping students become successful in their sport and their lives. She coached volleyball, soccer, as well as track and field. Her first commitment was to her family and the joy of her life was her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, John; sons, Brian and wife Rosie Zeno and their children, Braden, Ashton and Hannah, and son Michael and wife Sara Zeno. She is also survived by her brother John and wife Elena Gillespie now living in Hawaii; sisters, Suzanne Keeth living in Las Vegas and Sally Gillespie living in Akron, Ohio; and sister-in-law, Jo Ann Zeno living in Akron, Ohio. Other surviving relatives include nephews, Matthew and wife Becky Gillespie and their children, Abbey and Cameron, and nephew, Christian Keeth; and niece, Jordan Keeth. Family will receive friends from 2-4 P.M. Sunday, April 26, 2015 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd. Private family services will be held.
