Garland Clinton Ritchie

G. Clinton Ritchie, 77, of Circleville, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014 at his residence. He was born July 11, 1937 near Frankfort, Ohio, the son of McClelland and Nannie (Cordial) Ritchie. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Eula and her husband, Paul Carter; and his 4 brothers, Earnest and wife Corrine, Hurschel, Jesse and wife Esther and Irlan and wife Barbara Ritchie.

Clinton is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Margaret (Reid) Ritchie; sister-in-law, Ginger Ritchie; several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

He served in the Air National Guard from 1956 - 1963. He was a faithful employee for Dupont, assistant manager for Richman Brothers at Great Southern Shopping Center and for J. C. Penney, Men’s Dept. at Eastland Mall, sales rep for Ohio Uniform for law enforcement uniforms and retired as an inspector for the Ohio Dept. of Transportation.

Clinton was a member of Community United Methodist Church, Pickaway Masonic Lodge #23, Pickaway Co. Shrine Club, Scottish Rite and Valley of Columbus Shrine. He was also a member of Star Grange, Pomona Grange and State Grange.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home with Pastor David Ritchie officiating. Burial will be in Muhlenberg Twp. Cemetery, Darbyville. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
