Gary W Cook

Gary W. Cook, age 62, passed away suddenly on Friday, March 28, 2014 at Buckeye Lake. He was born January 17, 1952 to Johnnie and Katherine Cook in Topmost, Kentucky. Gary was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a fishing enthusiast and a member of AmVets Post #89. Gary retired after 37 years of service with Kentucky Fried Chicken. He was currently employed with Sports Ohio. He is survived by loving wife of 42 years, Sandra (Poling) Cook; daughter, Kasey (Lisa) Cook; mother, Katherine (Lawson) Gardner; siblings, Larry, Danny (Cheryl), Donna Mobley, Phyllis Fenton and Patti (Buster) Craig; along with several nieces and nephews. Gary is preceded in death by his son, Adam W. Cook; father, Johnnie Cook; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Betty and Harold Poling. Family will receive friends Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 4-8pm and one hour prior to the service at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road, where a funeral service will be held 11am, Wednesday, April 2, 2014. Interment to follow at Blendon Central Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to AmVets Post #89, 3535 Westerville Road, Columbus, OH 43224.
