

Gary Lee Gallion, age 77, passed away at home on Saturday, May 3, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 22, 1948, in Columbus, Ohio, he was the only child of the late Florence Eileen (Rider) and Edgar Ernest Gallion.
Gary served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He worked for many years as a dedicated construction worker and foreman and was a proud member of Carpenters Local 200.
A man of many interests, Gary found joy in fishing, playing cards, and hunting for antiques. Known for his sense of humor and love of pranks, he brought laughter to those around him. He enjoyed watching ALL sports with his grandson, Max, especially the Buckeyes and the Blue Jackets. Above all, Gary was a devoted family man who cherished his wife, children, and grandchildren.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Marlene (Butterbaugh) Gallion; daughter Christine Grundey; sons Kevin Gallion and Michael Gallion; and grandchildren Payton (baby girl) and Max Grundey, and Kaitlyn Gallion. He also leaves behind his cherished dog, Daisy, along with many extended family members, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Schoedinger East, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where a funeral service will begin at 6:00 p.m. Cremation will follow.
