Gary Wheeler

Gary Robert "GR" Wheeler, Jr., of Gahanna, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. He was born in Columbus on May 12, 1971 to Sandra Lee and Gary Wheeler Sr. He was a 1990 graduate of Gahanna Lincoln High School. Throughout his life, GR enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a dedicated husband, daddy, uncle and friend. He was a lifetime auxiliary member of the VFW Post #9857 and loved playing poker. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes, Dallas Cowboys, Atlanta Braves, Boston Celtics, and Columbus Blue Jackets fan. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bob Wheeler, and his brother-in-law, Andrew Moler. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 19 years, Danielle Wheeler, daughters, Abby and Megan McKenzie; father, Gary Wheeler Sr. (Cyndi Crist); sister, Deanna Moler (Joe Peisher); nieces, Olivia, Lindsey, and Madison; and many extended family and friends. Family will receive friends on Monday, June 28, 2021 from 10am to 1pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST FUNERAL HOME, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna. A Memorial Service will follow at 1pm.
