George Ellsworth Dean

George Ellsworth Dean, age 86, of Amanda, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 15, 2011. He was born in Pickaway County, Ohio on January 13, 1925 to the late Samuel and Inez (Ladd) Dean. George retired from Dunlap Farms after 27 years of service. Farming was his life until the age of 72, now he is planting the fields of Heaven. In addition to his parents George was preceded in death by his son, William Edward Dean who died in 1968 in the fields of Vietnam; precious grandson, Dustin “Dusty” Lafe Davis who was his pride and joy; brother, Carl Dean; sister, Helen Cornwell; and several nieces and nephews. Survivors include his devoted and loving wife of 64 years, Shirley (Blankenship) Dean; daughter, Nancy E. Davis and fiancé, Michael Berry; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Sunday, July 17, 2011 from 1:00PM-7:00PM at the DEFENBAUGH-WISE-SCHOEDINGER FUNERAL HOME 151 E. Main St. Circleville where the funeral service will be held Monday, July 18, 2011 at 10:00AM. Pastor Ted Davis officiating.
