What a pleasant and good person George was...and, of course, continues to be - in God's eternal kingdom.

Mother and Christine met through their artwork, and mother gave lessons around 1957 at the Walter Galleries in downtown Columbus.  They and others became great friends.  My dad really enjoyed George in conversation and visits of both couples to each other's homes. Once in a while, I was there for a gathering.  We got to know Tom English, also.

George, Christine, and Tom are together again we trust.  My dad died in 1992, and mom in 2000.  George was blessed with quite a long life.  His wonderful God-given personality and zest for life helped him to live a long time. 

Blessings upon you, his relatives and friends.  My warmest and kindest greetings and prayers to you.

I had the good fortune to live next to George and  Christine in the 1980's and develop a warm friendship.  The came to love my collie, who regularly wandered over to visit and that often meant I had an adult beverage with George and Christine when I went to retrieve the dog. They shared lots of good life stories. George also took an interest in my home repair projects and loved to offer some helpful tips. He was frequently amused that I could fix things and I loved having him looking over my shoulder!  Both George and Christine were good hearted souls and I am the better for having known them. Lit a candle in memory of George T. English

I am so fortunate that George allowed me to shared his life and stories over the last 10+ years.  There are so many things that will make me think of him and as most people know you just didn't call George at 5:00 on weekdays.  Most of all I will miss our Friday "happy hour" at George's kitchen table.  I was very blessed to have him in my life.

Dearest George, and you were a dear and loving father and father-in-law.  I will always cherish the Sunday night dinners at your house when Tom and I were together.  Those were good times and wonderful memories I am fortunate enough to keep. I've always missed you.  You know I'd have been there visiting with you had I stayed in Columbus.  I'm sorry I didn't have that opportunity.  Bless you now as you three are together again.

Uncle George 
The time we spent together over the last few years is a gift of happy memories. Thank you for that. Our friendship was a warm surprise. I will always cherish it.

I loved George as a neighbor. His driveway gave me a good excuse to run the snowblower in the winter. I enjoyed talking with him about boats,and life in general. George, you were a good man, and you will be missed. I know you are with those that love you. Farewell, my friend.

Della and Wayne, it was a pleasure speaking with you. Wayne was lucky to have good friends like you two. Thank you for sharing with me and I pray God comforts you at this time.
