George Byron Ford

George Byron Ford, age 60, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2022. George was born in Columbus, Ohio on August 7, 1961. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Ford; and sister Alice Harmon. George worked with ARC Industries for many years. George had a great imagination and a lot of curiosity about all the wonders of the world. He loved going on long drives, hiking at Old Man’s Cave, dancing, and traveling, especially his latest trip to Florida. He could often be found listening to records, smoking pipes and drinking Coca-Cola with Damien his roommate and best friend of 20+ years. George had an infectious smile and could be quite the charmer. George will be deeply missed by his loving mother Ilo (Hilpert) Ford; aunts Rebecca Compton, June Covert, Susan Hodge, Elona Huffman, and Sharon Harmond; niece Jennifer Hunt; roommate and best friend Damien O’Keefe; and numerous cousins. Family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00pm on Monday, June 13, 2022 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221. A Graveside Service will be held the next day at 2:00pm on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Glen Rest Memorial Estate, 8029 E. Main Street, Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068.
