George E. Hayden

George Edward Hayden, passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2012. He was born in Columbus, Ohio to the late Edward and Laura (nee Lester) Hayden. George graduated from East High School. He attended OSU and Franklin University. He retired from the United States Postal Service after many years of dedicated service. He was a longtime member of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church where he served as an usher for many years. He loved music and played guitar. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by son in-law, Raymond Tucker. George is survived by his wife, Chee Chee Hayden; daughters, Audree Tucker and Valarie Hollingsworth; grandchildren, Mychal (Tonia) Harris, Mychelle Griggs, Eric (Corrine) Hollingsworth, Charles Hollingsworth, and Tanya Carmichael Hollingsworth; and many great grandchildren. Friends may call on Friday, November 16, 2012 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at the SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL 5360 E. Livingston Ave. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 10:00AM at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, 166 Woodland Ave, Columbus, 43203. Fr. Karl Ruttan, celebrant. Interment will follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estate, Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
