

George Martin LaNicca, IV, age 24, of Upper Arlington, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, October 13, 2012. He was born January 29, 1988 in Columbus, Ohio, the beloved son of George Martin, III and Sandra Lee (O’Connor) LaNicca, who survive him. George is also survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Jennifer Ann LaNicca and Ben Loescher, of Calif. and Morgan Eileen (Kristopher) Crawford, of Columbus; godfather/ beloved uncle to Cailin Ann Crawford and beloved uncle to Casey Marie Crawford; grandmother, Ann LaNicca; aunts and uncles, Jamie O’Connor, Donna O’Connor, Ellen (Carl) Albanese, Robert LaNicca, Susanne (Bob) McCray, Melodie LaNicca; cousins, Sarah, Will, Claire, Kristoff, Riley, Giancarlo, Natalie, Keegan and Miles and many friends. He was preceded in death by his godfather and uncle, William LaNicca and grandfather, George M. LaNicca Jr. George was a 2006 graduate of Bishop Watterson High School, where he was active on the men’s golf and volleyball and baseball and wrestling teams. He received his Bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University in 2011. George was loved by all his family, was a protector to his nieces and always knew how to bring a smile to everyone’s face at a time they needed it the most. George was an avid and gifted guitarist who enjoyed playing for special events in his family’s lives. He loved people, enjoyed a contagious sense of humor and was always there for his friends. George loved to travel, especially California to spend time with family. He was a gentle soul who brought smiles to everyone he was around and loved children. Funeral Mass will be held 9:45 a.m. Saturday, October 20, 2012 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1899 McCoy Road at Reed Road. Fr. Michael Watson, Celebrant.
