Gerald L. Matheson, 67, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018. He was born at St. Ann's Hospital in Columbus, OH to the late Roderick and Carolyn (Truax) Matheson. He was a union electrician for 47 years and was a member of local union #683 of Columbus, OH. He was a brother FLE. He is survived by his loving wife, Jill (Brandeberry) Matheson; brothers, Edwin and Roderick Matheson; children, Gerald R., Michael, Daniel and Jodi Walker; stepson, Joshua Heck; grandchildren, Christopher, Nicholas, Kirston, Kiley, Daniel Dr., Haley, Jason Jr., Justin, Jessica, Jaden, Jacob, Jaylyn, and Jaxson. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Louis Matheson; nephew, Victor and niece Kim Hagerman. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Gerald's family will hold an urn burial at Union Cemetery, Columbus, OH at a later time. Arrangements entrusted to Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home.
