Gerald B. Wright

Gerald B. “Jerry” Wright, age 75, passed away August 4, 2012, at his home following a short illness. He was born November 28, 1936 in Dorton, KY, son of the late Melvin and Lexie Wright. Gerald served in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion. He retired from General Motors after 35 years. He was also a member of Brown Road Community Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Vicki; and grandson, Nathan. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis McCleese-Wright ; children, Jerry Wright, Tammy (Jay) Eickel, Melissa (Bobby) Pourmoghadam; grandchildren, Lindsey & Avery Eickel, Brent Pourmoghadam. Also survived by his step children and their families, daughters, Robin (Mike) Wotring, Tamara (Fred) Cline, Teresa (Mike) Maynard; grandkids, Matthew (Brandie) Wotring, Michael Maynard, Joshua (Heidi) Maynard, Jacob (Abby) Maynard, Caleb Maynard, Sarah (Bill) Jolley, Jennifer Maynard; 4 great granddaughters, Lainey & Sofia Wotring, Kathryn Maynard and Reese Maynard. Gerald is also survived by sisters, Mona (Redford) Adkins, Greta (Thedus) Bowling, Patricia (Jerry) McPeek; brother, Ronnie (Gail) Wright. Gerald was a wonderful man and left a beautiful legacy of loving and caring to all who knew him. We were all so blessed to have been part of his life. Special thanks to the wonderful folks at Mt. Carmel Hospice. Friends may call on Monday, August 6, 2012 from 6-8pm at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL 3920 Broadway Grove City. Funeral service will be held at 10:30am Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Brown Road Community Church,1553 Brown Rd, Columbus, Ohio 43223; Pastor Thom Barker officiating. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery, Grove City, Ohio. In lieu of flowers donations in Gerald’s memory may be made to Brown Road Community Church.
