Geraldine Drum

Doris Geraldine (Fosnaugh) Drum, 90, passed away on June 26, 2018. She was born March 19, 1928 in Lancaster, Ohio to Elma and Thelma (Shaeffer) Fosnaugh. Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard, and brothers Kenneth and James "Jimmy" Fosnaugh. Upon graduation from Stoutsville High School, she worked at Murphy Mart and helped her husband on the family farm. Geraldine is survived by her daughter, Teresa Gebhart, and son, Timothy (Ann) Drum. She was adored by her four grandchildren Ginny (Barry) Fee, Geralyn (Christopher) Yingling, John (Lisa) Drum, and Christina (Jared) Moyer, and eight great-grandchildren Jacob, Josie, Janie, Landon, Alexis, Lilly, Ava, and Hazel as well as nieces , nephew and a cousin. Geraldine was an avid fan of Jeopardy. During one episode, she detected an error in the Bible category and subsequently wrote a letter to the show. They replied to her acknowledging the mistake with a letter that her grandchildren framed. She also enjoyed reading the Circleville Herald; especially the Commuter Column, From the Hayloft, and Timothy Throckmorton's articles. Spending time with family and special friends, Jim and Phyllis Hartley, brought her joy. Geraldine was a lifelong member of St. John Church. A few of her last spoken words included, "Surely! Surely, Heaven!" The family would like to thank Fairhope Hospice for their care. Family will receive friends Friday, June 29th 2018 from 5-7pm at Defenbaugh-Wise Schoedinger 151 E. Main St., Circleville. The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 30th 2018 at 11:00am at St. John Church 11450 Brown St. in Stoutsville with Pastor Ted Davis officiating.
