

Gilbert Richard Hall, went to be the Lord Jesus Christ on December 9, 2011 at The Inn at Halcyon Village, Marysville, OH. Born to Oscar and Lena Hall on February 27, 1922 in Washington County, KY. He was raised in German Village and graduated from South High School. He proudly served in the US Navy during WWII on the USS Crescent City in the South Pacific. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and served as an officer for the Unholy Four Reunion Association. He was a retired electrician and member of IBEW 683. A longtime resident of Upper Arlington, he served as a volunteer for the Upper Arlington Fire Department. He also was an active member of Humboldt Lodge, Scottish Rite, Shrine and Grotto. He was a former member of the Swiss Club and The Columbus Maennerchor. He was a member of First Community Church and raised attending St Paul United Church of Christ in German Village. He was preceeded in death by his wife of 68 years, Rowena (Hilscher) Hall. Surviving are daughters Carolyn Burbick and Kathy (James) Pullins, and one granddaughter Sara (Abraham) Ambroza. A private family service will be officiated by The Reverend Dr Herbert M. Goetz, Jr., USN, Ret.
