
Gladys Geanekopulos was born in Columbus, Ohio, January 4, 1927, died on February 17, 2023. She is preceded in death by her Mother, Aristea (Petrides) , Father, Theodore, Sister, Katherine and Brother George. She graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in fine arts and had a notable career in interior design. Gladys was also a member of ASID, and was featured in numerous Columbus Decorators Show Houses.
Gladys was well known for her incredible talent in interior design but she also was a woman who graciously shared her love of art, literature, travels and the Sunday New York Times. Her dedication to the arts was extensive. She was a member of the Columbus Museum of Art, supported the Columbus Symphony Orchestra and Columbus Pro Musica. The many Art Books that filled her shelves were a worthy catalogue of her love of fine arts.
Her faith and dedication to the Greek Orthodox Church was a reflection of her adoration and fidelity to her family. She is survived by her brother Cris and sister-in-law Mary Geanekopulos, and her nieces Aris and Theodora Geanekopulos. The family would like to thank Rochelle, Connie and Pat for their friendship to and care for Gladys.
