

Glenn Philip Vanik , age 51 of Dublin, OH passed away Friday, August 5, 2016. Beloved son of Dr. Philip and Regina (Jean) Vanik and brother to Brian Vanik and Diane Vanik; Nephew, cousin, good friend and co-worker to many. Glenn was preceded in death by his grandparents, Emil and Rosalie Vanik and Joseph and Mercedes Quinn. He graduated from Upper Arlington High School Class of 1983, where he was a member of the cross country and track teams. He attended The Ohio State University, where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and graduated from Ashland University with a BA in Economics and Accounting. Glenn was the head property manager for Inn-Town Homes and Apartments for twenty-four years where he was a well-liked and respected member of the Ohio State campus business community. An avid Buckeye, he was happiest when Ohio State won their recent National Championship and he looked forward to every football season. Enjoyed challenging his friends, cousins, uncles, and even his dad with a good game of Texas Hold'em and usually walked away a winner. He loved music, whether going to concerts or taking the stage himself as a singer performing in bands with longtime friends. He always loved a good book, a good movie, and a good time with friends and family. He will be greatly missed. Please go directly to and meet at the church before 11:00 am Thursday. Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 am Thursday, August 11, 2016 at St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church, 7179 Avery Road, Dublin, OH with Fr. Matthew Morris, Celebrant.
