Gloria Jean Jones-Cobb was born on May 1, 1948 in Akron, Ohio to the late Jessie Stallworth and Lugene Jones. She attended South High School in Akron and afterwards served as a sales consultant for both Mary Kay and Avon Beauty Cosmetics. Eventually Gloria took employment as a Home Health Aide where she tended and cared for people who were sick and shut in. Gloria always had a tendency for assisting others whether it was giving cosmetic tips, fixing someone's hair, or just lending a helping hand to someone in need. After receiving her cosmetology degree from the Gerber Barber and Cosmetology School in Akron, Gloria went on to manage and operate her own beauty salon. Customers loved patronizing her shop because they knew they were going to be treated with dignity and respect and was confident in knowing they would be well-taken care of. Gloria often times put other's needs before her own. After facing various health issues in the past years, Gloria's daughter Tracy moved her to Columbus, Ohio so she could be closer to her. She has resided in Columbus since the year 2012. She leaves to cherish her memory: daughter: Tracye (Thomas) Draper of Columbus, son: Philip Cobb, Jr. of Akron; Daughter: Latonia (Ramont) McCombs of Akron; Granddaughter: Shantel (Kelvin) Jackson of Akron, Grandsons: Marquise Brown of Columbus Ohio and Andre Jones, Jr. of Lisman, Alabama, Granddaughters: Danica and Tianna of Akron and Virgil and Tremaine of Akron. 7 great grandchildren: Isaiha Brown, Jenisis Jones, Davion Jackson, Alaiya Brown, Za'Rae Wims, Imani Wims, and Nirvana Jones. Gloria also leaves behind a host of relatives and friends to cherish her memory too.
