

Greg S. Dillon, age 61, of Dublin, Ohio passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016 following a courageous battle with melanoma. He was born on April 15, 1954 in Upper Arlington to the late Paul and Ann (Totten) Dillon. Greg graduated from Upper Arlington High School in 1972 and went on to graduate from The Ohio State University in 1976 with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Engineering followed by a Master's Degree in Computer Science in 1978. Greg enjoyed a 37-year career with IBM. He began as a programmer in Boulder, Colorado before moving to Connecticut where he spent 20 years in management positions. Greg and his family returned to Dublin, Ohio 6 years ago as he continued to travel internationally for IBM as a Vice-President of Global Business Services. Greg and his wife Barbara met 41 years ago on the ski slopes of Snow Trails while students at Ohio State. They were married for 36 wonderful years and along with their daughter Lauren enjoyed sailing, skiing, hiking and travelling, especially visiting National Parks. Greg loved to read and was a lifelong learner. He was proud to be an Eagle Scout, a Christ Follower and member of the Upper Arlington Lutheran Church. Greg most enjoyed spending time with his family and will be greatly missed by his loving wife Barbara and daughter Lauren Dillon. He is survived by his brother Brett (Shelley) Dillon and nephew Taylor Dillon; brother in law David (Terry) Anderson, nephew Chris Anderson, niece Catherine Anderson and many wonderful aunts and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio. Family will receive friends starting at 1:00 PM with the service, officiated by Pastor Eric Waters, to begin at 1:30 PM, followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
