Gregory G Groves

Gregory G. Groves, age 68, of South Bloomingville, Ohio and formerly a longtime resident of Reynoldsburg, died unexpectedly Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at his home with family by his side. He was born October 2, 1955 in Columbus, Ohio, Son of the late Melvin and Evelyn (Brobeck) Groves. Greg was retired from General Motors/Fisher Body following over 30 years. He was a 1973 graduate of Reynoldsburg High School. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 31 years, Linda Groves; son, Gregory C. (Melissa) Groves; daughter Kacie Groves; grandsons, Blake, Mason and Jacob. Also survived by his brother, Gary G. (Wanda) Groves, sister, Gail Douglas; niece and nephews, Soni, Owen. Brian, Tom and Chuck; other relatives and many friends. Greg always made everyone laugh with his infectious sense of humor. He was an avid Bengals and OSU Buckeyes fan. He loved to golf, the outdoors, GM trucks and cars and had a special gift with an ear for music and playing the guitar. Funeral Service will be held 12:00 noon Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at SCHOEDINGER EAST, 5360 E. Livingston Avenue, Columbus, OH 43232, where friends may call from 10:30 am Tuesday until time of service. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a local ASPCA chapter in Greg’s name.
