Gregory A. Hughes

Mr. Hughes was born March 10, 1954 in Newark to the late James Clayton and Thelma Eileen (Snoor) Hughes. He died Tuesday June 15, 2010 at the Selma Markowitz Center operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. He was 56.

He was a bus driver for LEADS where he enjoyed helping the children. In his spare time he loved being with his grandchildren and playing the keyboard and the organ. He was a member of the Licking Valley HS class of ’72 and an avid OSU Buckeye fan.

Gregory is survived by his son Michael Hughes (Connie) of Buckeye Lake and Michael’s mother Jeannette Simpson , also of Buckeye Lake. His grandchildren Kristopher Halblaub, Cearia Gregg, Briten Cowan, and Austin Halblaub; brothers Daniel (Janet) Hughes, Charles McCoy II, sisters Sandra Radcliff, Judy Bailey (Ed) of Newark, and Donita (Tom) Landis of Utica, numerous nieces and nephews, and dear friends.

Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service or go to www.CrissSchoedinger.com to sign an online register book or to share a memory. In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to the needs of the family c/o the funeral home.
